NO MORE BACKWARDNESS 2

Beloved, the power of God is able to overrule all other powers.

> “And declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.” (Romans 1:4). The resurrection of Jesus was God’s power on display. With the working of God’s power in your life, no power can frustrate your progress. To see God’s divine performances, you must recognize God’s power and live for God. Living for God means living to please God and it leads to promotion and exaltation. Those who live for God will be lifted by God; and no man can bring you down. > “And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently, unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth” (Deuteronomy 28:1). *** *** HOW DID JESUS LIVE FOR GOD? *** ### 1 By pleasing God always. > “And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.” (John 8:29). When you please God, He becomes committed to your pursuits *** ### 2 By pursuing God’s agenda and serving Him faithfully. > “… must be about my Father’s business? (Luke 2:49). > “For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.” (John 6:38). You have been saved by God to live a life of service to God. *** ### 3 By representing the glory of God in your generation. > “For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.” (Genesis 18:19). ###

When you live for God and recognize His power, He will set you on the high places of life.

> “Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.” (Psalms 91:14). *** *** *** *** ###
