COMMAND TO LOVE GOD 3

 > ### Master, which is the greatest commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and the great commandment. (Matthew 22:36-38)  ###

Friends, one of the ways to show practical love for God is by serving in God’s house.

> ### “And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God, with all thy heart and with all thy soul” (Deuteronomy 10:12). ## Where ever there is genuine love there is service.  ## Let us look at how we are to serve. *** ### 1 Serve with you time. *** ### 2 Serve with your skill. *** ### 3 Serve with your talent. *** ### 4 Serve with your strength or energy.  ### 5 Serve with your resources. > “And the king said unto Araunah, nay; hut I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the Lord my God of that which doth cost me nothing…” (2 Samuel 24:24)  ### 6 Serve with joy and excitement. > “And they continuing daily with did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart” (Acts 2:46).  ### The benefits and blessings of loving and serving God will make all other things work well in your life. > “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” Romans 8:28).  ## SOME BENEFITS OF LOVING GOD ARE: *** ### 1 Deliverance. > “Because he bath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him…” (Psalms 91:14).  ### 2 Revival of spirit. > “Consider how I love thy precepts: quicken me, O Lord, according to thy loving kindness” (Psalm 119:159).  ### 3 Revelation. > “He that hath my commandments and keepeth them, he it is that loveth: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my father; and I will love him and will manifest myself to him” (John 14:21). *** *** ### 4 Prosperity. > “…shall prosper that love thee” (Psalm 122:6b).  ### 5 Promotion. > “Because lie hath set his love upon me, ... I will set him on high because lie bath known mu name” (Psalm 91:14).  ### 6 Prepared blessings. > “But as it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him” (1 Corinthians 2:9).  ###

Beloved, man was created by God to give God pleasure and one of the ways of doing that is to love and serve God.
