Are You Taking Your Live and Self Too Seriously?

Hello Prestigious People!

There is no denying that we have important tasks and business to take care of in our lives. We take seriously the things we value, such as our careers and dreams. At the same time, we want other people to respect us. We desire recognition and appreciation for our presence and our contributions. Nothing is wrong with that. However, we frequently put on a mask in an effort to appear prim and proper in order to get things done and be taken seriously by others. As a result, we become tight-lipped and frequently maintain our guard.

The question then becomes, "Are we taking our lives and ourselves too seriously to the point where we are missing out on the fun in our lives?" Each of us must come up with a personal response to that query. Can't we be less stressed and more relaxed? Have we forgotten to be silly or silly in the privacy of our homes, even with family and friends?

Never undervalue the impact humor and laughter can have on our lives. We rush around trying to complete our tasks and chores in the craziness of our daily routines, which leads to stress. We become tense, irritable, and more likely to snap at people. But if we add some humor and laughter to our lives, we become more at ease, less stressed out, and more relaxed.

When we are stuck in a situation, humor and laughter can help us see things from a different angle and move past it. The issues might not seem as serious if we can laugh at ourselves and our circumstances in life. In actuality, the issue or problem might not get better for another year or two. We may be able to lose our tunnel vision through humor and laughter, and start to see the light at the end of the tunnel.

We value our relationships with others because we are social beings. Laughter and humor can strengthen our bonds with others, improve our communication, and improve our connections. In Malaysia, a multiracial society made up of different races and cultures, I can see this happening. Lat is a well-known Malaysian cartoonist who makes caricatures and cartoons that ridicule Malaysian culture. He is able to capture the peculiarities and distinctiveness of Malaysian society and encourages self-deprecation among Malaysians. The fact that Lat is well liked and adored by people of all races is not surprising. A society that can laugh together will be able to advance together.

There is a time and place for everything, without a doubt. We will live happier and longer lives if we can laugh at ourselves and not take ourselves so seriously as opposed to giving in to the urge to stoke our egos.
