This drum is believe to be spiritual in nature and its called talking drum because we can use it to communicate even when the person you are calling is far away, provided he or she is from the linage or family of the people that plays the drum.
Currently the drum is the heart of various music style ranging from Fuji, Juju, Apala, Afro in Nigeria and the whole of Africa.
