Now he is retired. However, he is connected with the Indian cricket team. A committee of administrators operating Indian cricket has entrusted the selection of the next national coach to the committee headed by Kapil Dev. This decision can result in differences in the panel appointed by the Supreme Court. The committee has former Indian captain Kapil Dev, Anshuman Gaekwad and Shantha Rangaswamy. They had appointed WUV Raman before this in December. One member confirmed to PTI that BCCI has also approached him to choose the main coach of the men's team. On Tuesday, BCCI invited applications for the male team's assistant staff including the chief coach.
