Howdy, Hivers. I have always talked about great bass players and I have done many covers of great artists and analyzed a little the bass lines of each song, but today I want to start talking a little about the protagonists of this post, which is the electric bass itself and I will start with the one that was the first as commercial success, even so it was not the first electric bass created, this bass is the "Fender Precision bass" the bass that by far is the most sought after by the best bass players and although they are not the most used they own even if it is one of them. Every bass player knows the quality of this bass besides having been created by "Leo Fender" who took this adaptation of the double bass to a much more comfortable version to play and transport. He also gave it a style very similar to the electric guitar, which at the beginning was a bit confusing, but with time it adapted to this new image.
HISTORY
The history of the creation of an electric bass is motivated by the difficulty that existed to transport the bass and even in many occasions to amplify its sound generated certain inconveniences, sometimes the sound of the bass was discarded because of amplification problems. It is here where Paul Tutmarc in the decade of the 30's, brought the idea of the electric bass and created a model, but it was Leo Fender who in 1951 brought the idea of the "Fender Precision Bass" being finally a commercial success and it is here where a great era of the electric bass begins. This idea came with a design very similar to that of the electric guitar, giving the bass an aggressive sound, much more defined and presence, with this the bass players had the opportunity to own an instrument much more comfortable to carry and play, in this way it became popular and until now has been one of the most sought after and imitated in the market.

Its design comes from what was the Telecaster guitar which was the newest design of Leo Fender and from here it was created, looking for better shape and less weight they used maple and alder wood, achieving better weight. The frets were added to make it much easier and like to play and its electronics is of coil type pickups picking up the sound emitted from the strings, also the same tuning of the double bass was kept to make it like a kind of new version of the double bass.
