Fruit flies (Bactrocera spp.) Come from tropical Asia and Africa and subtropics Australia and the South Pacific. Furthermore, these pests spread to India, Pakistan and Southeast Asia. Fruit flies entered Indonesia since 1920 and are reported to have attacked more than one hundred types of horticultural plants (Kalie, 1996). At present, fruit fly pests have spread throughout Indonesia, namely Sumatra, Java, Maduradan and Riau islands
