Vacation in Prague (Czech Republic)

Prague is a city that I want to return to, which is what I'm doing! I have seen the city in all three summer months and in the spring, when it is just blooming, one of my tourist dreams is Christmas Prague: to visit it at the end of December and go to Vienna in January.

My visits to this city are repeated for a reason: firstly, there are so many things in the Czech capital-everything that it is simply impossible to see everything you want in a few weeks, you constantly come back with regret that there are only 24 hours in a day.

And you also need to sleep; secondly, this place is so comfortable for me that if I seriously consider changing my place of residence, then this city will be the first on the list. You know, it happens that you find yourself on one wave with the city, you arrive and already feel at home, so cozy - this is about Prague.

Russian Russian language is consonant with Russian and there are a lot of Russian tourists here, so that the menu and just Cyrillic inscriptions are not uncommon here; Prague has a fairly clear transport system, so it will not be difficult to get around by metro or tram; it is problematic to get lost in the city, and if this happens, you will easily be told the way.In my opinion.

But the Czech capital is also popular for one more obvious reason - it is Europe, with all its charms in the form of ancient castles, Gothic churches, streets with cobblestones, many museums, but at the same time with very loyal price tags towards tourists. The Czech Republic is still a relatively cheap country for tourists.

There are 22 districts in Prague, each of which is assigned an ordinal number from the center to the outskirts, respectively, the historical center is the Prague-1 district.

It can be logically assumed that living here is very expensive and, perhaps, not very convenient, but this is not so at all. You can save on travel and feel the atmosphere, because the buildings in the historical center are appropriate, plus evening walks with beautiful views are provided.

You will still have to go outside the center if you want to get to know the city better, because there are some attractions outside of it. If you plan to travel a lot and will stay in the city for more than a week-feel free to take a travel card for a month, put it in your bag and forget about the problem of buying tickets.

Prague is not very rich in street food, if in Vienna there are no problems to take a sausage, and in Budapest - a shawarma, then in the Czech Republic you can count only on the local trdelnik (aka trdlo, aka shmetdop) or some fruit in the summer, with which you can refresh yourself in the heat.

But if you decide to eat in a cafe or restaurant, you will definitely not get up hungry because of tol: the portions are large, some dishes are generally designed for the company, sometimes a simple side dish in the form of French fries is already included in the price of meat.

Czech cuisine consists of bread or potato dumplings, stewed cabbage, a lot of meat and also a lot of sauces, which is collected from the plate by these very dumplings. Vegetable soups, again, with an abundance of cabbage, there is a bread soup that fills a loaf instead of crumb. Prague is obliged to have a boar's knee, but this is for those who like to poke around.

There are a huge number of museums in Prague, but, unfortunately, not all of them are of a decent level, so before visiting any thematic private museum, I advise you to read reviews about it, so as not to be disappointed by the exhibition of wax figures and the text sign next to them. It is better to spend this time on the National Museum or less obvious things, such as the casemates in which the figures from the Charles Bridge are stored.

Prague is amazing and multifaceted, as well as rest in it, it feels like this city is a Rubik's cube, which constantly offers to "collect" it in parts, and it is incredibly interesting to do it. It can become a "springboard to Europe", because it takes only 4 hours by train to Vienna, Dresden or Bratislava, it can be a Czech center, from where tourists go to Karlovy Vary, Krumlov, Kutna Hora and other small cities, which, nevertheless, have something to offer their guests, and maybe the highlight of the program, because even without going anywhere in the city itself there is always somewhere to go and something to see.
