However, extraneous sounds, rustles, night steps can speak about the existence of a "grandfather" in the dwelling. But do not be afraid of them, just when everyone is asleep, the spirit checks if everything is in order in the house. Cats and dogs see the keeper. The first purr for no apparent reason. This means that the brownie is scratching them behind the ear. Sometimes cats play with the spirit.
Dogs are less likely to be evicted with a keeper. Most often they just carefully consider something invisible, do not respond to the call of the owner. If the dog does not show aggression and does not growl, then you have a kind brownie.
However, our ancestors 100% believed that each hut is inhabited by a guardian who protects the building and its residents. To earn his good attitude, the Slavs treated the "grandfather" respectfully and constantly fed him. Some even allocated a separate place for him in the dwelling.
Naturally, there are many skeptics who claim that if it is impossible to prove the existence of something, then it simply does not exist. But I think it's up to everyone to believe in something or not.
