Odessa airport. My trip to meet a friend

Hello friends!

I love flying planes. I love the anticipation of the flight, all the procedures associated with it. I love to look back at the airport building as I walk up the ramp. I love everything that happens inside the plane.

I like to find my place, put things on the shelf, look at how the flight attendants are dressed and how they behave, I look forward to being fed and eat with pleasure. A special pleasure is the moment of take-off, the extinguished light in the cabin, the lights burning along the aisle. The plane accelerates and lifts off from the ground.

I feel very good at this moment. I'm happy. I'm not afraid of anything and I feel free.

So far, these feelings are not killed by anything. Although there was a lot of discomfort in the form of delays, bad weather conditions, technical problems and all sorts of funny stories like the case when I flew to Vitebsk instead of Kiev due to bad weather.

All night I sat at the Vitebsk airport, nodding, and in the morning, when they announced flights to my destination, I got on someone else's plane, flew to Kiev, and still managed to catch my next plane on schedule twice a week, fortunately also delayed for many hours. But I still like being in flight.

A few historical facts about Odessa airport

Odessa, with its beautiful, even climate, is surrounded by steppes, which are an ideal natural airfield, as if it was created to become the center of aviation. Since its Foundation, Odessa has become an important commercial and industrial center in the South of Ukraine; the center of the region, where the largest seaports and industrial enterprises are located; and a resort city.

It is in our Sunny and friendly city that the hospitable air gate of the South of Ukraine is located - Odessa international airport, whose services are used by hundreds of thousands of passengers every year.

The starting point of the airport's history is considered to be the opening of regular flights on the Kharkiv - Elisavetgrad - Odessa route on may 21, 1924; at the same time, one of the first air stations in Soviet Ukraine was built here, on the Shooting field.

Takeoff and landing - the exit of the aircraft into the air sea and the meeting with the ground - two of the most exciting and important moments of the flight. To successfully complete the flight, the crew must be able to Orient themselves in space at any time and clarify their route.

The new terminal has four air bridges. The total area of the departure halls provides comfortable accommodation for passengers on 12 flights at a time.

According to the Directive of the State Aviation service of Ukraine ED-11-17, a working group was established on the implementation of tools for balanced consideration of flight safety and environmental protection requirements, which worked to determine the main environmental aspects, create an enterprise policy and an action program aimed at reducing the negative impact on the environment, which includes:

implementation of production control over compliance with the requirements of structural divisions of the enterprise and third-party organizations located on the territory of the airport, current legislation, instructions, rules and regulations on environmental protection.
