Fishing car - Amphicar 770

Hi friends! For me, historical exhibits are always something amazing! You look and understand that all this is created by human hands, whether from laziness, or from boredom:)) For example, tired of walking - invented mechanical means of transportation. Hard to swim in the water-invented the boat. We envy the birds had created flying machines... But this was not enough, smacks of human greed for fiction:)  **This Amphicar 770 or a boat, or machine:)** The car in the picture just killed me! It is about him that we will talk a little today. Greed of human invention sometimes leads to loss of quality or to high prices. In consequence, the brilliant idea crumbles and we can only wait for the car to become a rarity, as in this case. But how this car looks after 57 years! In the Museum it just floats in the air. A good hint of what to fly Amphicar 770 could not! We are in the technical Museum of Koch in Istanbul. It is so big and interesting that you can find a lot of new things here every time. It is necessary to be so carried away by collecting to collect exhibits which occupied 27 thousand square meters. All perfectly restored and stand on special carved stands. But about boats another time. Now let's talk about amphibians in our lives. Alexander Belyaev is also not remained indifferent to the amphibians and wrote an excellent novel "the amphibian Man". But after 1960, this concept becomes especially popular. They even made a wonderful film based on Belyaev's book. Even more attractive were the technical ideas of amphibians or universal technical means. German engineer Hans Trippel (1908-2001) was burning with the idea of creating an amphibious vehicle. As expected for the master, the first amphibious machine drowned... But Hans did not give up and continued his work. He was an interesting man and lived for almost 100 years! Let's return to the Museum Exhibit Amphicar 770. The machine was created more for recreation and fishing. It was the first amphibious vehicle in civilian vehicles. German businessman Harald Quandt convinced Hans Trippel to continue working in this direction. Money in the project poured about 5 million dollars. The businessman was counting on a large American market. But the car was too expensive and there were enough minuses. >Amphicar 770 was in 1961, presented to the American public. Advertising promised buyers sports car, but alas, in practice it was different.  But in any case, Amphicar 770 was the impetus for something new and attractive. Now collectors buy this car in their garages. I machine design I liked. It was thought out to the smallest detail. The ease of management and transformation made it very attractive. Wealthy people could easily afford it. Amphicar 770 produced only 3878 pieces and sold for 5 years. Even 36 President of America Lyndon Johnson couldn't resist Amphicar 770.
