Does blogging enable laziness or am I being productive?

 # Before everyone goes onto the attack, I just wanted to attempt a NON-POO-POST!  source: truthinmedia.org The title of this blog is somewhat ironic considering I am feeling lazy at the moment. When I get home, I just want to turn off the outside world. I am lucky in many respects but I never know for how long my luck will go on for. Having a family business definitely helps at times in terms of 'security' and an income. I can sit here and perhaps fool myself that I am being productive while writing this, or perhaps I am not fooling myself at all and I am being productive. I just wanted to note that family politics especially involving business can be very taxing on your emotional state. It's a different kind of 'work'. I just put that caveat in there in order not to illicit any kind of jealousy. I have seen in North America so many 'service' oriented jobs. Many of these jobs are within the government and are poorly managed. The other kind of jobs such as telemarketing, survey based calls have been slowly contracted by telephone operators in Asia. It would seem we are not so 'service' based when we can contract the same desk job over sea's and pay a lot less for it.  source: slideplayer.com Manufacturing is the basis for a healthy economy. When we contract other countries to make things for us, we are fooled into believing that we can remain in economic prosperity with a strictly service based economy. Not only that, but the service based economy is now being contracted out! This creates more debt and "paper pushers" by banks in order to keep the facade lifestyle; even though the cost of living is going up.  So this leads me to blogging. Am I making the best use of my time by sitting here and thinking and writing about these things on a cryptocurrency blog? Am I producing anything of real value other than another opinion? Why is it I feel like I am being lazy and unproductive. Cryptocurrency is surely an interesting concept in that we are creating our own kind currency. Creating your own competing currency has always had dire consequences in any country, so it's very interesting how we are getting away with it.  As writers and curators does our actions on any blog site filter back into the regular economy? Sure the money made must be eventually converted back into your local currency, but it's the concept of a service that I am comparing too. In any case perhaps there is value to what I am writing even though it can be upvoted by anyone in the world using STEEM based tokens. Someone will absorb something I write about and intellectualize on it even though it is 'decentralized'. We all know that spamming thank you / follow me is not very productive in itself and generally illicit's no "rewards" anyways. Well, I guess if I am being productive by writing this blog I won't feel so bad. Perhaps I could get onto the phone and try to get more business (which wouldn't be a bad idea), but the laziness of sitting in my chair and writing this out just seems so much more rewarding (even though it is for pennies).  What say you? Are we fooling ourselves into believing blogging is productive? How much money could we really live off of by everyone 'blogging'. What is it we are really producing (forget daPPS).
