I believe cyberbullying is what everyone who uses the internet will have come across one way or the other, it can be composed in whatever way we see fit to, and there is no way one can escape it as long as you are a victim of the internet.
The word Cyber means the Internet space, which is a virtual environment where everyone all around the world connects, it is where you meet people of different tribes, different races, and cultures, but regardless, it is already part of our world and there is nothing we could do about it or avoid it.
Cyberbullying is the act or a scenario whereby other individuals threaten their fellow internet users, this could either happen in a way that user data is being manipulated, a user is being cajoled into a false website, or a user is being trapped to engage in illegal activities through the internet.
Most cyberbullying we don't see coming unless we get closer to them, there was some days ago when I heard that a particular famous application with more than a million users has been selling its users' data, this as well is an example of cyberbullying, and such actions should be disregarded by every means necessary as users data are being threatened and as well manipulated all around the internet space.
Recently, I was a victim of cyberbullying which was a horrific experience for me, I thought I was smart enough to have never been a victim of such, but I have come to the understanding that we can't all be careful enough as there are people who have dedicated their lives into outsmarting others by scamming them, and it's of an issue that such people tend not to see beyond the light.
This happened to me when I wrongly deposited one of my exchanges to binance using the wrong memo, then it reached out to binance customer service and complain, the next day my assets were returned to the exchange, and this spiked as good news to me, then I reached out to the exchange, they seem to have a poor customer service, then I had gone to their page on Twitter instead to log the complaint in their DM, getting there, I got a message from their support service.
Little did I know that this support service was a scam, I was so engaged in other activities that I was not paying full attention, then the support service ask me to log out of the exchange app and log in again, and the moment I did that, he had gained access to my wallet without me knowing, just in some seconds, he had penetrated through my wallet and exchange all my assets to Tron, he then makes the transfer to another wallet, this saddens me a lot as I felt so bullied and being played off, it was indeed a sad experience of cyberbullying to me.
This encounter affected me for days, and I keep replaying the moment and how I was being played, it's very surprising to me and everyone around me that how can a crypto expert such as me could outsmart me in crypto cyberspace, I just laugh for a bit and was very sad that I couldn't even make a post on steemit for a day or two.
It was a bitter experience, and the reason he was able to succeed was that I was not paying full attention to the details he was requesting of me, and again, I was a little bit engaged on a phone call with a friend during the whole process, because I know for a fact that if I was being super active, I would have gotten the notification of when the transaction was going on.
The theft was really a sad experience, and this first made me doubt my skills if am worthy enough to be called a crypto expert, because how can a simple low-life crypto user outsmart my wallet just like that, I guess I have learned my lesson to be extra careful next time, and whenever I am dealing with cryptos, I should always give it 100% of my attention.
Prior to my scam experience, I learned that as long as crypto is concerned, never click any link telling you to do this to receive a reward, because I believe no one is nice to want to just dash your assets for free, so in this case, there is always a way out, such as blocking the user or reporting their page, and you could as well mute them.
The others have learned that you should always pay full attention when dealing with cryptos, this would make you foresee any illegal activity, and be more vigilant as well, a cyberbully is not as difficult to detect, as long as you are not looking for how to double your investment, or you are not looking for a quick rich scheme, I believe you will be safe and steer off cyberbully.
Regarding my post, to keep yourself safe from cyberbullying or theft, it is best to set up two-step verification on all of your accounts, so that in such cases, other users won't be able to hack your data or manipulate them.
Here comes my conclusion of the discussion: My view on Cyber Bullying, where I have shared with you my first-hand experience of when a user tried to outsmart my wallets, and I have as well shared with you the dos and don't to avoid such a similar case.
