Scaloni on track to win FIFA Coach of the Year

Lionel Scaloni is in the race to win FIFA Coach of the Year after giving Argentina the World Cup.

 The International Football Federation (FIFA) has entered the field in the selection of the best coach of the year 2022.  They have already made a short list.  That list includes World Cup winners Lionel Scalonire, Didier Deschamps, Carlos Ancelotti, Pep Guardiola and Walid Regargui.

 Football's highest governing body (FIFA) narrowed that list down to the top three on Thursday.  Where Morocco's Walid Regragui and runner-up France's Didier Deschamps are eliminated.

 Now in the top three are Argentina's World Cup winner Lionel Scaloni, Real Madrid's Carlos Ancelotti and Manchester United's Pep Guardiola.

 From the list published by FIFA, the name of the best footballer will be announced on February 27.  Voting will continue before this.  Coaches, captains, media representatives and supporters of FIFA member countries can vote there.
