A penguin was once caught in the net of a Japanese fishing trawler in the Pacific Ocean. The fisherman quickly cut the net and freed the penguin. But for some strange reason the penguin was not leaving. Despite being chased away, he kept coming back. Unable to find a way, the fisherman brought the penguin home with him.
Arrange a separate room for the penguin to stay. Air conditioning is specially arranged for him so that he will not live in excessive heat. The fisherman family adopted the penguin as their own son, lovingly naming him 'La La'.
The most interesting thing is that Lala used to roam around the entire neighborhood like a human child. The locals also treated him as one of their own. The cutest thing is, every day he went out to patrol the neighborhood with a backpack on his back. Every day he would drop by the local fish shop and the shopkeeper would feed him a fish and put some more in his backpack!
Lala died in 1998.
