In addition to these objectives, the Qur'an also sheds light on the sensitive and physical or sexual relations of husband and wife. In this case too, the Qur'an has shown the people a simple straight path. By following it, man can fulfill his natural desires by avoiding the filthy and heinous erroneous path.
It has been narrated in the hadith that the Jews and the fire-worshipers would have gone far away from her if she was menstruating and would have gone too far in this regard. And Christians used to have intercourse with their wives even in this condition. They didn't care or hate menstruation at all. And the people of Jahiliyyah used to abstain from eating and drinking or sitting together and sleeping in the same bed when the wife was menstruating - even living in the same house. Just like the Jews and the fire worshipers.
Seeing all this, a question arises in the mind of any Muslim. In such a situation, they want to know from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) what is halal and what is haraam in the case of intercourse with wives. Then the following verse was revealed:
People ask you about menstruation. You say it is ugly. Stay away from wives in this situation. Do not have physical intimacy with them until they are sanctified. Then when they are cleansed, go to them as Allah has ordained for you. God loves those who repent and purify themselves.
From the command to separate from wives in this verse, the Arabs thought that it was not possible to live with them. Then the Prophet (peace be upon him) went to give the correct interpretation of the verse and said: I have commanded you to abstain from intercourse with wives during menstruation. I did not order the non-Arabs to be evicted from their homes. When the Jews learned of this, they said, "This man is determined to oppose us in all matters."
Therefore, there is nothing wrong for a Muslim to get pleasure from his wife in all other matters except having intercourse with her during her menstrual period. From this it can be seen that the expulsion of wives during menstruation on the one hand and sexual intercourse with them on the other hand has introduced a balanced and harmonious policy between these two extremes.
