Temporary marriage.

In Islam, marriage is a strong bond and an unbreakable promise. As a result of the immense interest and enthusiasm of both sides to live together forever. He wants peace of mind, friendship, love and kindness between husband and wife. His ultimate goal is to sustain the progress of humanity by continuing the lineage. Allah has said in the Quran.

Allah has made pairs for you from among yourselves and has made for you children and grandchildren from these pairs.

For this reason, marriage should always be on a permanent basis. But temporary or temporary marriage is not like that. That is for a certain period of time in exchange for a certain amount of fee. As a result, the significance of marriage mentioned above in the light of the Qur'an is completely absent in this case. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) allowed such marriages before the provisions of the Shari'ah were fulfilled. In the case of this permission too, there was a time for long journeys and wars, but later he himself forbade it forever.

In the beginning, there was reason to allow such marriages. At that time people were moving forward through a turning point or turning away from ignorance towards Islam. In the age of ignorance, adultery was easy, free, free from all obstacles.

After the advent of Islam, when these people had to travel far and wide for jihad, it became very difficult for them to be separated from their wives for so long. Meanwhile, among the neo-Muslims, just as there were strong believers, there were also weak believers. Especially in the case of the weak believers, the fear of getting involved in their jealousy became intense, which is a sin and a heinous act of the most shameless.

On the other hand, the people of strong faith decided to suppress their sexual power by making themselves 'Khasi'! At this stage Hazrat Ibn Masood (RA) said.

We used to go to war with Rasool Kareem (SAW). At that time our wives were not with us. Then we said, will we become ‘Khasi’? But the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) forbade us to do that and allowed us to marry for a certain period of time in exchange for clothes etc.

In this way this temporary marriage is allowed, in (Arabic) language it is called ‘mutya’ marriage. And that is for the purpose of relieving the temporary hardships and problems of both the weak and the strong believers. This was a step in the direction that Islam wanted to introduce Sharia law for the married and conjugal life of Muslims. The aim of Islam was to introduce a conjugal life, which would fulfill all the purposes of marriage. And that is the sanctity of character, the preservation of chastity, the provision of permanence of married life, the continuation of lineage, the widening of the scope of love and family life in terms of marital relations.
