Brazil's Attorney General Fernando Cascone is investigating the match-fixing allegations. He said that there was evidence that Brazilian footballers were involved in match-fixing.
He said, I have found evidence of footballers talking to gamblers. Most of the talk happened during the domestic leagues of different countries. We have sent the investigation report to the respective national football associations. They can do their own investigation if they want.
Action has already been taken against Max Alves, who plays for the Colorado Rapids in the US Major Soccer League. The club banned him.
