Sunday (11/29/2020) Various circles participated in the international running event which took place in Shanghai, China. The running event was attended by no less than 9,000 runners, which marked the return of the biggest running event in China after being vacuum due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 19.
According to the AFP page, in addition to commemorating the annual Shanghai Marathon, this event is also one of China's efforts to revive itself after being hit by the Corona virus pandemic for nearly the past year.
The biggest event in Shanghai is taking place by following various health protocols to prevent the spread of the Corona COVID-19 virus. One of them requires runners to show test results free of Covid-19 and always wear a mask before or after running. Some runners even wear masks during the event.
Even though the number who participated in this year's event was less than the previous year's event which reached 38 thousand participants, this did not dampen the enthusiasm of the participants who were dominated by domestic athletes.
Marathon running is now increasingly loved by the Chinese population in recent times. This activity has even caused a fever to run marathons among the population, including during the Covid-19 pandemic.
