Hello guys. I hope you're all doing great. I am so excited to get connected with you all once again. As part of the things I am so passionate about doing, poetry finds it's way to the top of the list.
Today I will like to share a few lines with you all.
The title of my poem is "Who is a Poet?". It is inspired by the fact that Arabs are the roots of poetry. History has in it's books some of the best poets such as Antarat Bin Shaddad who was an Arab. This poem is trying to kind of praise them for how in-depth their lines are and also for being pioneers of poetry.
#WHO IS A POET ?
Who is a Poet?
He is that Arabian
Who just like a magician
Strikes with his quill like pirates of the Caribbean
As hospitable as a Ghanaian,
He welcomes all ideas
Who is a Poet?
He is that lad
Who spits out saliva formed
By the mixture of chemicals called words
He holds in his hands, a word-like sword
With this sword, he beheads all heads
Who is a Poet?
He is that Writer
Whose style is extraordinary
Whose lines are unimagined
Whose rhyme schemes are confectionery
Who stanzas are swiftly engined
Who is a Poet?
He is that Starlet
Whose brain is a supermarket
Whose heart is a booklet
And whose tongue is a leaflet
From all these, wisdom is sought
