Newcastle united have completed one of the most expensive transfers in premier league in the 2022 summer transfer window. The arrival of Alexander Isak from Real Sociedad made him the most expensive signing by a premier league club. Darwin Nunez still remains the most expensive player, as Liverpool signed him for 75 million Euros. The Uruguayan striker missed Liverpool clash with Manchester united due to a red card he received against Crystal Palace.
However, Casemiro who recently arrived Manchester united from Real Madrid, is ranked second on the list. The Brazilian midfielder was signed for 70.65 million Euros. Asides Casemiro, Isak and Nunez, there are other players who were signed by a premier league club for more than 50 million Euros. Marc Cucurella, Erling Haaland, Lisandro Martinez and Richarlison are the players in question. However, Haaland is currently the top scorer at Manchester city, while Lisandro Martinez performance in the last weekend gave Manchester united three points against Liverpool.
