Four worst players for Barca in their disappointing 2-0 defeat against Bayern Munich

Spanish La Liga Santander giant, FC Barcelona were in action yesterday in their second Group C game of the new UEFA Champions League season away from home against Julian Nagelsmann led Bayern Munich team at the Allianz Arena.

Barcelona in the game looked like a well cordinated side with some good fighting spirit before they fell out of order in the second half which cost them the whole maximum three points of the night.

The game between the two sides was such a thrilling encounter and a keenly contested one with some Barcelona players performing far below average and expectations thereby resulted to the disappointing outcome.

Second half goals from Lucas Hernandez and Leroy Sane made the difference in the game which ended it two goals to nil at full time and was able to separate the two sides at the blown of the final whistle.

Robert Lewandowski

The Polish striker who has been in superb form for the Los Blaugranas so far in all competitions this season was unable to replicate his brilliant run of form in the front of goals against his former club.

The forward enigma was very poor at the heart of the forward line where he missed some clear cut chances that could have been converted into goals thereby had little or no meaningful contributions in the keenly contested encounter.

Raphinha

The Brazilian international was also poor at the attacking line as he was unable to create a meaningful chance in the opposition box where he lost possession on several occasions.

The former Leeds United star had a bad day at office in the show of the night with a shambolic performance which contributed immensely to the disappointing result.

Jules Kounde

The France international and former Sevilla star was not really solid at the heart of the defence line where he failed to make some decisive and dangerous clearances to deny the host chances which were converted into goals.

Pedri Gonzalez

The Spaniard youngster and midfield maestro was also not at his best in the show of the night as he failed to convert some clear cut chances that could have been converted into goals.

He missed some chances at the heart of the forward line which could have earned his side at least a crucial point in the game.

They will all be hoping to be back to their usual form for the team in the next game as they continue their pursuit in the competition with the optimism to win their very first title since 2015.
