Bangladesh scored 8 goals against Bhutan, Surveer hat trick

Two small spectators were watching the game standing on the roof of the residential building near the stadium. The national flag was hanging in front of them. Many of the thousands of visitors scattered in the gallery were holding placards with the national flag and Bangladesh. The Bangladesh team has made the football evening of the spectators who came to the Bir Shresh Shaheed Sepahi Mustafa Kamal Stadium, Kamalapur very colorful.

 

Under-15 Women's SAFF Championship has started today in Dhaka. Bangladesh started the tournament with one win in Daput. Ruma Akhter, Thirsty Queens blew Bhutan 8-0 in the first match. Surbhi Akand scored a hat trick. Umehla Marma scored two goals. Thuinu Marma, Zainab Bibi and Kanan Rani Bahadur scored 1 goal each.

 

On September 16, Sabina Khatunera thrashed Bhutan 8-0 in Kathmandu. In that match, the girls of Bangladesh, who were leading 4-0 in the first half, applied lipstick to celebrate the victory. Ruma, Surveera have found inspiration from that victory.

This is Bangladesh's highest margin win against U-15 Women Safe Bhutan. Earlier in 2018, Bangladesh defeated Bhutan 5-0 in the semi-final. This is Bangladesh's second highest margin of victory in this age group. Bangladesh scored 14 goals against Pakistan in 2018.

 

This is the fourth edition of the Women's Under-15 SAFF Championship. Bangladesh is the champion for the first time in 2017. But in the next two times, Bangladesh became the runner-up. Last two-time champions India are not participating in this tournament. The three-nation tournament is being held with Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh. The team with the highest points in the round robin league matches will be the champion.

 

Favorite Bangladesh, however, started the tournament with full 3 points. Among the 23 members of this Bangladesh team, only Zainab Bibi has experience of playing in international tournaments. But the rest of the eleven players did not feel like playing for the first time.

Thirsna, Thuinud's passing, movement, dribbling has spread fascination in the match. Like Bangladesh, Bhutanese girls are also playing in international tournaments for the first time. But the girls of Bangladesh were ahead in all aspects - fitness, skill, ball possession. Bhutan had the ball in their half for most of the match. Bangladeshi goalkeeper Sangeeta Rani Das spent a lazy time under the posts.  

 

The girls of Bangladesh did not understand the offside trap even though they attacked in the first few minutes of the match! But after a while they realize their mistake. Umehla Marma broke the offside trap and entered the box in the 7th minute. Nusrat Jahan's extended ball made it 1-0 in the placing. In the 22nd minute of the match, Thuinu scored 2-0. Zainab Bibi scored the most spectacular goal of the entire match. This defender took a shot from about 35 yards away in 28 minutes. Bhutan goalkeeper Diksha Roy could not understand anything. The ball went over his head and into the net.

Bangladesh went into the break leading 3-0 in the first half. In the second half, Bangladesh girls' hunger for goals increased. Surveer came on as a substitute for the entire second half. Kanan Rani Bahadur made the score 4-0 in the 50th minute. Then Surbhi started the goal-fest with the fifth goal of the match in the 68th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Bhutan goalkeeper Diksha made it 6-0 from Surabhi's hand-back ball. Then Umehla scored the seventh goal from Jatla in the box. Surabhi then completed the hat-trick in added time.rick in added time.
