1. Cleanse your face

The first step in any skincare routine should always start with cleansing your face. This can be done using either a cleanser or soap. A cleanser is used to remove dirt from the surface of the skin while a soap is used to cleanse deeper into the pores. Both are equally effective at removing impurities from the skin, but they have different purposes. Soap is best suited for those who want to get rid of dirt that has already accumulated on their skin. Cleansers are usually formulated to gently wash away dirt and oil without stripping the skin of its natural moisture.

2. Exfoliate

Exfoliation is the act of removing dead skin cells from the top layer of the skin. Dead skin cells build up over time and can clog pores, leading to acne breakouts. To exfoliate effectively, use a scrub that contains granules of sugar mixed with water. Scrubs work well if you don't mind having some extra product on your hands. If you prefer not to leave a residue behind, try using a loofah sponge instead. Loofahs are great for getting in between your toes and under your fingernails. They're also good for cleaning out your ears!

3. Moisturize

Moisturizing is the final step in your daily skin care routine. Dry your face by using a towel after washing it. Then apply moisturizer to the entire face and neck. Make sure to choose a moisturizer that's suitable for your skin type. For oily skin, look for products that contain oils like jojoba or argan. Oily skin types need hydration, especially after cleansing. Choose a lightweight lotion that won't feel greasy and will absorb easily.
