Almighty Allah punishes the oppressor in this world. Oppression is a sin that Allah Ta'ala punishes in this world and in the hereafter. First we will know what oppression really is? Oppression is wrongfully inflicting an injustice on someone by forcing something that that person accepts through helplessness. If he does not accept, he has no choice.
For example, we tend to introduce sources of oppression from our individual lives. If a person is a brother, sister, mother, father or anyone of his family, if everyone's rights are violated by force without permission, then it is oppression. For example, if a father of a family has both a son and a daughter, after the death of the father, both the children share the property. In this case, if a brother refuses to give the property due to his sister, if he does not give it, he takes it by force and continues to enjoy it, then this is also the oppression of the brother towards the sister. Also, brothers will share in equal shares if a brother takes more or suffers by force, then the brother has wronged his brother. If the husband does not give the right of such a wife, then the husband has wronged the wife. If injustice is done to such parents i.e. they are not provided for, then the child will be oppressed by the parents. If such a parent deprives a child and assigns land to another son or daughter more than what he or she will receive, it will be oppression of the parents towards the child. Generally, there are examples of oppression among our relatives, such as if someone forcibly consumes or continues to enjoy the rights of the relatives, it will also be oppression. Usually no one gives land to the father-in-law thinking what property they will get again they think Warish actually Warish means partner. These are recent relationships in family life or oppression in personal life.
Examples of Oppression in Society: If we look at our society, almost everywhere in our society is covered with oppression and tyranny. At the time of trial, the mentors do injustice to the party who is poor, weak, powerless, and injustice is oppression. Also, if someone from the society or family abuses someone unfairly, which he has no ability to protest, then that is also wronged against him. If we say in the field of employment, there are various types of oppression on the employees in the field of employment. For example, in a college, if a fee is forced on the staff which the staff can afford to pay, that will be oppression of the principal towards the staff. We have seen many colleges where Shraddhas are charged unfairly for various program purposes. Apart from this, by embezzling various types of funds of the college, it also falls under the level of oppression. In the education system of Bangladesh, students are given stipends along with tuition fees for teachers. And this tuition fee is due to every teacher which is given to them by the government. But in most schools and colleges teachers are not given this harmony, it is forced and hidden in various ways, it is also oppression. Also the staffs who are weak are subjected to various types of unfairness and oppression. Now we talk about the state. When the state government embezzles the money of the public money in different ways, it is the money of every people, it is the name of oppression on every people. If we look at the world, we can see the oppression of Israel on Palestine, the oppression of America on Afghanistan, the oppression of America on Iraq, the oppression of America on Japan, the oppression of the Chinese government on the Uighur Muslims in China, the oppression of Myanmar on the Rohingya, the oppression of the Bangladeshi government on the ulama of Bangladesh. There are thousands of such examples in our world.
Oppression is a very terrible sin that the punishment of the sin is done by Allah Ta'ala to the world. Also, he will be judged in the hereafter. Therefore, many scholars say that you should never be an oppressor. If you have to be oppressed, it is never right to be an oppressor because the Almighty Allah will punish the oppressor in this world and in the hereafter and his punishment will be complete. So let us protect ourselves from oppression. We make people aware of the terrible sin of oppression and let everyone know that oppression is a great sin. So from today we promise that I will never oppress anyone and I will protect myself from oppression in any way, inshallah.
