A few words about the terrible shape of the river Yamuna.

 Dear friends, how are you all, I hope you are all well, I am also very well by the grace of Allah.

 

                   A few words about the river Yamuna.

 

 Yamuna River is a tributary river that originates from a part of the Brahmaputra River. This river separates from the Brahmaputra and branches off through Kurigram Gaibandha Bogra Sirajganj and joins the Padma at Goalande and flows into the Bay of Bengal as the Meghna.

 When there is no water in this Yamuna river, thousands of small and big sandbars are seen in the middle of this river. I think that there are so many rivers in Bangladesh, Yamuna river is the only one.

 This river Yamuna takes on a monstrous form when it is full of water. Both sides of the river became helpless in front of this terrible form. Immediately, people trembled with fear. This was a few years ago ie from 1999 to 2001.

It is difficult to believe that this Yamuna river has caused so many people's misery, how many people have lost their homes, how many people have lost their lives and how many people have made them destitute.

 This Yamuna river used to be broken but with the strong action of the Bangladesh government today this river is not like before because the entire western bank of this river has been ruled so this river does not break anymore and does not cause people's sorrow.

 This river Yamuna is not only the cause of misery but this river also leaves many footprints of our development. Because when the alluvial soil of this river is inundated, a thin layer falls over the land, resulting in the fertile power of this land to such a degree that many crops grow well.

 

 There are many fishes in this river Yamuna which fulfills the needs of our fishes i.e. I. Monsoon season catch a lot of fish and mother hilsa from the sea come to this river to lay eggs then they are caught by fishermen in large numbers.

 

 In the future, it is hoped that this river will be more controlled and deepened so that this river only benefits people and does not cause harm or suffering. This is our hope and every person does not want to leave his home. We also hope that due to the strong action of the Bangladesh government, this river will not break two families and no one will be left without a home. We are leaving here today. Allah is Hafez
