The main craftsman of a country and a nation is the teacher and the education system of the country. If a country or a nation wants to reach the peak of progress or success, there is no alternative to education. The more advanced the education, the more civilized and wealthy the nation is. That is why it is said that education is the backbone of the nation. The meaning and analysis of this saying cannot be completed because a civilized nation cannot be imagined without education. Therefore, the more importance a nation has given to education, the more progress that nation has made and has become a civilized country. Looking at the world today, it can be seen that there are some countries that are so advanced in education that they have spread over the world.
For example, if I give a small example, you can easily understand the matter, such as Singapore. This country can be called a small city. Its area is very small but it is number one in terms of development and civilization. This country has a very small mainland but this country is number one in the world in terms of development. Because at the root of it is the education system in this country, the education system in this country is so advanced and extensive that it is unimaginable. And behind this development in this education system, there is so much development, so much civilization, so much modernity. A city that is washed twice a day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. A city in which no one throws even a single nut shell on the road. A country where the traffic laws are the same, no one breaks the rules, everyone is forced to follow the traffic laws. If someone ever violates any kind of traffic law, he has to immediately count the number of districts and districts. This country is full of only tall buildings. All the offices and courts in this country are free from corruption and independent and stand as a symbol of freedom. No office is corrupt, everyone is equal here, everyone's work is done equally and at the same speed. There is no way to do something like that someone's work is first and someone's work is not. Here, whoever commits a crime will have to get the punishment for that crime, there is no discrimination. And all this has been possible only because of education because that country gives a lot of importance to education and they have expanded education at a large rate, as if they have reached the peak of such progress.
In addition, if we look at European countries, we can see that all European countries have reached the peak of progress, and if we look at them, we can see that they are developing education more. For example, in Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, Italy, France, Germany, there are many other countries that give the highest importance to education and give the highest status to education. And that is why they have developed so much and become such a civilized nation. They give the highest status to a teacher and they consider the teacher as the number one citizen of the country and there is respect for the teacher at all levels. They have made the economic freedom of the teacher of all those countries and some countries have given equal status to the minister. In some countries, teachers' salaries have been raised to the highest salary structure. For example, the salary of teachers in our neighboring country, India, is the highest. In addition, in all the countries we see or observe, they have made the economic liberation of teachers in all countries, that is, they have increased the salary of teachers in every country greatly because if the teacher is poor, his education will not be satisfied and if he does not give good education, he will not become a good student and if he is not a good student, it is not possible to get a good civilized nation, so they first ensure the teachers and education and then the rest are in other parts of the country.
But our Bangladesh teachers are the most neglected. Education is the most neglected. Teachers in this country have no dignity. Teachers' salaries in our country are the lowest in the world. For the economic liberation of teachers in this country, they have to protest on the streets and lie down on the streets, but still their rights are not realized, their demands are not accepted and on the contrary, they are subjected to various types of torture and oppression.
