 Hazrat Hasan Basri (Rahmatullahi Alaihi) said: I went to the market of Makkah to buy a cloth. The shopkeeper started praising the clothes from the beginning. From time to time he began to swear: his clothes are the best in the market, and so on. I left the shop without buying any clothes. It is never safe to buy anything from such people. Two years later I went on Hajj again. I went to the store to buy clothes again. I stood at a distance and watched the man. Nah, none of the praise-oaths as before. The buyer is shopping as per his choice. I then proceeded.

 

 I wanted to know: - Are you such a person or not? Yes. -Then what was the reason for your change? -Then I had my first wife in my house. If I returned in the evening with a small sum of money, he would spend the night with me, ignoring me. And no matter how much money I took, it didn't catch his eye. Why couldn't I earn more? He used to beg for different things from his father's house. He treats me very badly in heaven. Then one day my first wife fell ill. God the Almighty has looked back at me. My first wife died. Again I got married for the second time. When I was coming to the market the day after the wedding, the new wife, that is, the second wife, pulled my shirt from behind and stopped the motion and said - listen to this!Fear God Almighty. You will feed us halal by earning in halal way. There is no need to earn more by sinning. Even if you bring less income in a halal way, I will consider it much more with absolute respect. Yet never go the forbidden way.

 

 Special Note - Not only women but also men need to have character, but we should know that having a female character means having a family character whereas having a female character means a family without character, therefore it is more important for women to have character.

May Allah Ta'ala protect us all from all kinds of haraam deeds and grant all men and women to be virtuous and bestow good tawfiq on all types of Muslim men and give tawfiq to all types of women to be such good wives. Amen.
