How the sacrifice came and what is its significance?

 Assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.

 

 Dear friends, how are you all? I hope all of you are well with the mercy and kindness of Allah Ta'ala. I too am well by the infinite grace of Allah.

 Today's topic is how the sacrifice came and what is its significance?

 

 A Sunnah of Ibrahim

  We make sacrifices every year. This is a very fulfilling task. Corridor InshaAllah I am now trying to tell you how this sacrifice came about. Hazrat Ibrahim (AS), the father of the Muslim nation, had a dream of Allah Ta'ala one night, where Allah (SWT) asked him to sacrifice his beloved son Ishmael (AS). At first, the Prophet Abraham (peace be upon him) believed that it was Satan playing tricks on him and he immediately ignored it. However, the next night, in the same dream, he was again ordered to do the same thing. The Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) then realized that this could not slow down the work of any devil and in fact it was nothing but a message from the great Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala.

 

 Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) loved his son Ishmael (AS) very much. Yet he was or was fully prepared to follow the command of Allah (SWT) and to act according to His command. He took his son to the top of Mount Arafat and took a knife and rope with him. When he reached a suitable place, he told his son about his dream and what Allah (SWT) had commanded him to do. Being a very obedient son, the Prophet Ishmael (peace be upon him) immediately obeyed the will of Allah (swt) and his father and said that his hands and feet should be tied so that he could not fight and his father wanted to blindfold himself. So that he does not have to do any kind of maya. Witness his suffering.

 

  Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) did what Hazrat Ishmael (AS) said. Blindfolded and with a knife in his hand, he did what Allah (swt) wanted him to do. When he opened his blindfold, he was surprised to see the corpse of a dead sheep in front of him. Hazrat Ishmael (AS) was standing right next to him in a completely unharmed condition. At first, he thought that he had made a terrible mistake and that he had disobeyed the command of his Creator. But then he heard an unseen voice telling him that Allah (swt) cares for his followers and he does not need to worry.

 

  A divine miracle happened. Abraham (peace be upon him) and Ishmael (peace be upon him) had just passed such a difficult test from Allah (SWT).
