Rice is the main food of people in many Asian countries, including Bangladesh. Rice has been closely associated with people's daily lives for ages. Rice is at the center of our morning, lunch and dinner. Not only as food, rice is also deeply related to our culture, tradition and economy. Starting from rural life to urban life, rice is of immense importance everywhere.


Introduction and origin of rice

Rice is produced from rice. Rice is one of the oldest crops of humans, which began to be cultivated thousands of years ago. According to scientists, rice originated in South and Southeast Asia. Rice production is widespread in Bangladesh due to fertile soil, sufficient water and favorable climate suitable for rice cultivation. Rice is the food grain obtained by peeling rice through the process of boiling or parboiling.


Nutritional properties of rice

Rice is mainly the main source of energy. It contains a large amount of sugar (carbohydrates), which provides energy to the human body. Rice plays an important role in maintaining daily activities, hard work and thinking power.

Since it has a layer of husk, it is more nutritious. It takes time to digest, but it is very beneficial.


4. Black rice:

Available in small quantities. It is high in antioxidants, which boosts immunity.


5. Fragrant rice:

Such as basmati, sugar powder, black cumin. These rices are used in pulao, biryani, and special dishes.
