True peace in ethics and morality.

The real beauty of human life lies in ethics and morality. The foundation of peace, order and stability in the world is the moral values developed among people. Money, wealth, fame or pleasures, even if they give people temporary happiness, cannot give permanent peace. True peace comes only when a person walks on the path of justice, grasps the truth and leads his life following the standards of morality.

Meaning of ethics and morality

‘Ethics’ refers to the right direction or ideal rules of living. And ‘morality’ is the practical application of living according to that principle. Simply put, ethics is the basic foundation of ideals, and morality is the practical form of that ideal. Truthfulness, honesty, fairness, kindness, forgiveness, loyalty, altruism, respect for the rights of others—all these are included in morality.

The true definition of peace

Peace is not just a state of being free from war, but also inner peace, mental comfort and social harmony. If someone's mind is restless, overwhelmed by greed, jealousy and violence, then no matter how beautiful the external environment is, true peace cannot be achieved. The root of peace is inner satisfaction, which can only be achieved through ethics.

How ethics play a role in the path of peace

1. Truthfulness gives people peace

Lies always leave people in fear and anxiety. Even if people get some benefits for a short time under the shelter of lies, it brings sorrow and unrest in the long run. On the other hand, truthful people live fearlessly and there is no place for unrest in their minds.

2. Honesty brings peace to life

Dishonesty makes people feel guilty, but honesty keeps people clean and independent. A person who leads a life with honesty gets respect in society and feels peace in his own mind.

3. Fairness and justice establish social peace

When fairness prevails in society, people feel safe. When discrimination, injustice and exploitation are eliminated, true peace is established in society. Just people also find a kind of self-satisfaction within themselves.

Forgiveness gives inner peace

Anger, revenge and hatred burn people from within. By forgiving others, the mind becomes lighter and peace descends in the heart.

5. Philanthropy brings harmony in society

A major aspect of ethics is philanthropy. Coming forward for the welfare of others, helping the helpless not only brings peace in the life of the recipient, but also brings immense peace to the mind of the giver.

6. Respect for the rights of others is the key to peace

If people recognize each other's rights in all areas - family, society and state - then conflicts will decrease. The education of ethics helps people to awaken this sense of respect.

Religion and Ethics

Almost all religions have given special importance to ethics. Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Christianity - every religion has taught truth, honesty, kindness, forgiveness, altruism, and justice. Religious values help people follow the path of ethics, which ultimately leads to true peace.

Moral decline and unrest

In today's society, it can be seen that moral values are collapsing to a large extent. Greed, corruption, dishonesty, fraud, and violence - all these are taking away peace from people's lives. The more people immerse themselves in pleasure and luxury, the more they suffer from unrest. There is only one reason for this - lack of ethics.

The impact of ethics in personal life

A moral person is always mentally strong. He is not troubled by worries, does not suffer from fear and panic, does not have to carry the burden of injustice. He has peace in his heart. On the other hand, an immoral person is always restless, suffers from guilt and lives in insecurity.

Ethics in family life

A family is a small form of society. If every member of the family is moral, then love, harmony and peace prevail in the family. Lies, deception, distrust or dishonesty break the family, but ethics makes the family strong.

Ethics in social life

A society is peaceful only when the people of the society respect each other's rights, do not harm others, and do not tolerate injustice. If morality is lost from society, theft, robbery, murder, corruption increase and peace is destroyed.

State and Ethics Ethics

If morality is absent in the governance of the state, corruption, discrimination and unrest spread in that state. If everyone, from the head of state to the common citizen, follows the path of morality, then an orderly and peaceful state is established.

Examples of true peace in ethics

Historically, it is seen that societies or nations that have embraced morality have achieved peace and progress. For example, during the reign of Caliph Omar (RA), true peace was established in society due to justice and morality. Again, where morality has collapsed, that society has headed towards anarchy and destruction.

Above all, it can be said that true peace is not in any material wealth, it lies in ethics. A person, a family, a society or a state - if they follow the path of ethics, then there will be happiness, prosperity and peace. Money, fame, power, pleasures and luxuries, although they give momentary pleasure, cannot give permanent peace. Therefore, it is the duty of each of us to respect ethics and morality.
