"Business activity is any activity related to the purpose of making a profit. It is often divided into operating activities, investing activities and financing activities. Of these, operating activities tend to be considered the most important as they have the most direct impact on a company's performance."Source
All businesses no matter how it was structured eventually will fall into either being an industry or commerce though the duo are similar in execution but in actual sense they are different.
An industry as an entity is a function of production or creation of goods and making services available according to the consumer desires. Commerce on the other hand, is a function of trading goods and providing services in any form it was requested or needed.

Industry as a business make-up is disintegrated into primary, secondary and tertiary forms of industry.
Primary industries are known origin of production as they are the one associated with the availing the raw materials needed for the secondary industries which can be gotten with purchase or farming as regards agriculture.
Secondary industries are involved in utilizing these available raw materials to produce consumable products. Tertiary industrie services using the output from the secondary industries and sometimes the primary industries.

That's all as regards the post on business activity for this particular write-up, more would be discussed on other parts of economics in the subsequent posts. Thanks for the consistent support as usual.
