Through the old colonial streets of Barcelona it has been said that many years ago there was an old man selling some cookies that he bought in a very popular store in the area. According to the story, the owner of the store where the cookies were originally sold had a secret recipe that was passed down from generation to generation, but one day, the store suddenly closed and the recipe was lost.

Years later, at the end of the 20th century, these cookies were discovered in an old warehouse and someone started selling them at the local market. Those who tried them said they were like the cookies from the lost store, which revived the legend and the demand for these cookies increased significantly, but with the onset of the economic crisis throughout Venezuela, the cookies stopped being sold.

 Now, an old man is currently appearing through the same colonial streets in broad daylight selling very similar cookies and it is rumored that they are the same ones that were sold in that local market.
Although the authenticity of the story has never been confirmed, people still buy these cookies hoping to get a taste of a bit of local culinary history.

Por las antiguas calles coloniales de Barcelona se ha comentado que muchos años atrás había un anciano vendiendo unas galletas que las compraba en una tienda muy popular en la zona,  Según cuenta la historia, el dueño de la tienda donde originalmente se vendían las galletas tenía una receta secreta que se transmitió de generación en generación, pero un día, la tienda cerró repentinamente y la receta se perdió.

Años más tarde, a finales del siglo XX, estas galletas fueron descubiertas en un antiguo almacén y alguien empezó a venderlas en el mercado local. Quienes las probaron dijeron que eran como las galletas de la tienda perdida, lo que reavivó la leyenda y la demanda de estas galletas aumentó significativamente, pero con el inicio de la crisis económica en toda Venezuela se dejó de vender las galletas.

 Ahora, actualmente está apareciendo un anciano por las mismas calles coloniales a plena luz del día vendiendo unas galletas muy parecidas y se rumorea que son las mismas que se vendían en aquel mercado local. 

Aunque nunca se ha confirmado la autenticidad de la historia, la gente todavía compra estas galletas con la esperanza de probar un poco de la historia culinaria local.
