AN AFRICAN BEDOUIN

I see the Kings
High in their couches
With golden glasses and tables of silver,
But NO
I see the beautiful princesses
In all their lustrous glory
With painted and caked faces,
But NO
I see the glamorous parties
And the wild streets blurring up with loud sounds of electrifying music,
But NO
I am a friend of the old ways
I only want to remain a nomad
A free human roaming the streets with genuine smiles.
By the truth of my Lord
I only want this - a calm heart and a face of light
A sincere soul and a smile never fading
A conscious mind and a teary eye that knows no sin.
I choose this path:
To be a nomad, an African bedouin
