Looking at the four major types of NFT marketplaces including some examples

Greetings to everyone here once again, I am here to write and share with you all an exciting and interesting topic which is going to be about the types of NFT marketplaces that we have. We should put in mind that NFT marketplaces are categorized into four major types and we shall be looking at them one by one including examples in this article. 

Without much ado, the following include the four major types of NFT marketplaces;
 

SN	TYPE OF MARKETPLACES
1	Open marketplaces
2	Curated marketplaces
3	Games marketplaces
4	Collectibles marketplaces

 

Let's now look at each one separately and see what they entail. 

Open Markeplaces

Open marketplaces, it's like a general platform where one can locate anything including music files, collectibles, items of games, art, etc. The open marketplace is a general platform that is open to all individuals entering the NFT market or ecosystem. It gives the user many interfaces including gaming items, collectibles, etc.

Examples of Open marketplaces include Rarible and OpenSea. As we all know, OpenSea is the largest NFT marketplace and the first NFT marketplace as well. Rarible is also a great and nice NFT marketplace that provides users with a simple and easy user interface. 

 

Curated Markeplaces

A curated marketplace is one that is located found within a larger marketplace and allows vendors to have control over their assets on the platform. The Administrators on the platform permit users to post on the marketplaces by screening and verifying the post before.

Curated marketplace includes the following; Nifty Gateway, Foundation, SuperRare, etc. Curated marketplace also permits the community to vote on the artworks of the individuals on the platform. A good example is the foundation marketplace. 

Games Markeplaces

Just as the name implies, the games marketplace is a place where one can find all the different NFT games that one wishes to play. It provides a platform for users to play games and earn collectibles and items. 

Its platform is good and has a user-friendly interface as well. Examples of gaming marketplaces include the following; decentraland, and Axie Infinity.

Collectibles Markeplaces

A collectible marketplace is also a platform that allows users to have access to collectible NFTs on their platform. They provide NFTs that are very alike and similar, a good example is the CryptoPunks collectibles. They look similar but with slight differences between them. 

Examples include; NBA Top Shot, CryptoPunks, and Ether Cards.
