Greetings to all Sereyians on this noble community, I am very excited to write and share with you all this poem of mine. It just popped up my mind and I decided to write that and share with you all. The topic or title for the poem is perseverance.
Perseverance
The sun is setting,
And the sky is darkening.
The stars are coming out,
The moon is on the rise.
I am sitting here,
Alone in this room.
My mind wanders to you,
As I sit here and rove.
There is nothing we cannot accomplish,
With all the strength we've got.
We'll get through this together,
And to the end we'll go.
When the world is against you and your back is up against a wall,
when you feel like everything you've ever wanted has slipped through your fingers,
when you doubt that anything will ever be okay again,
remember this:
It's not the end of your story. It's just the beginning.
I have been wandering for so long.
I am tired, so tired of being alone.
I have no one to talk to, no one to call my own.
But I know what I must do: I must keep going.
And so I continue on, searching for a place where I can belong.
