Stories about humans who are cursed to become monkeys seem to be heard a lot through the stories of the ancients and have also been made into special films about the story.
It was as if the story about the existence of the ape-man had only been believed to be a character in a film.
However, in the history of Islam, it turns out that there was a group of people who disobeyed in ancient times who were cursed or made into monkeys.
In fact, the story is already written in the holy book of the Koran which is indisputable about the story.
A curse given to a group of people because that group of people is too arrogant and disobeys what Allah has commanded.
The story of this discussion is narrated in the Qur'an. QS Al-A'raf verse 166 which states that these humans are cursed to become despicable monkeys.
The story of this incident occurred before the time of the Prophet Muhammad.
These people are part of the descendants of the Children of Israel. some even say that the people who are cursed are the Jews.
However, this curse is not given to the entire community, but only to those who are arrogant and disobey Allah's commands.
Allah says in the Qur'an;
"So when they are arrogant about what is forbidden, they do. We say to him: 'Be you lowly monkeys'," QS Al-A'raf verse 166.
