But this time, the North African country of Morocco has added a new chapter to the history page. The country's great football team has painted this year's World Cup in new colors. They reached the semi-finals of the World Cup after defeating Ronaldo's Portugal. Like the footballers and the spectators - those who have traveled to Qatar to watch the game, those who live as migrants in different parts of the world, and those who attend the big festivals in the streets of Morocco. Everyone has emerged as a force for Morocco in this World Cup.

The footballers on the field reciprocated this support. Morocco is the first country in the continent to reach the semi-finals of the FIFA World Cup. Two more wins from here could spark the biggest event in World Cup history. Now, however, many are reluctant to call Morocco's victory a fluke. A team that beat Belgium, drew against Croatia, beat Spain, beat Portugal in 90 minutes of play cannot be called a fluke. However, none of the football analysts spoke of Morocco's prospects that way.

Youssef N Nesiri's superb header saw Morocco beat Portugal 1-0. Morocco coach Walid Ragraghi said after the match, Morocco has become a team that everyone loves. We have shown what we can do. According to him, Morocco has become a team that has been able to reflect their tenacity, heart's desire and belief on the field.
