Cameroon gave birth to another big incident in the World Cup of Accidents. Vincent Abubakar's added time goal saw them beat tournament favorites Brazil. Cameroon has to withdraw from the group stage despite doing this feat as the first African team. Because in the other match, Switzerland beat Serbia 3-2 as the second team of 'G' group and got the knockout ticket.

Brazil completely dominated Cameroon in the first half with Martinelli, Jesus, Rodrigo. But like the first half of the previous two matches, the Brazilian forwards failed to show precision in the goal in this match. That's why Jesus couldn't beat the goalkeeper even with a total of 21 shots in the match.

Desperate to win, the two European teams started playing high-intensity football from the first minutes of the match. Swiss captain Xherdan Shaqiri scored the first goal in this five-goal match. In the 20th minute, the former Liverpool star beat the goalkeeper with a great left-footed shot from the right side of the box from Dibril Soy's pass. Serbia equalized within five minutes with Mitrovic's goal. Serbia, full of talented forwards, scored again on 35 minutes. Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic scored this goal with the help of captain Dusan Tadic. And this goal changed the calculation of the match and the group. Serbia moved to second place in the table at that moment after pushing Switzerland and Cameroon down. 

The Serbians, however, finished the day bottom of the group. Contributing to this was Cameroon's victory, and the performance of a Cameroonian in the Switzerland team. Late in the first half, Switzerland counter-attacked down the right wing, and Cameroon-born Brill Mbolo scored from right-back Widmer's cross. 

After equalizing in the first half, the Swiss scored the winning goal at the beginning of the second half. Mboloi started this attack in the 48th minute. Shaqiri crosses his ball to the right wing. Vargas flicked the ball into the box at Frøyler's feet, and Frøyler slotted the ball into the net. Switzerland finished the match 3-2 to advance to the knockout stages of the World Cup for the third time in a row.
