The 3rd and final ODI Match of the Sri Lanka tour of Bangladesh, 2024 was played today at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chattogram. In which Bangladesh beat Sri Lanka by 4 wickets to won the series by 2-1.
TOSS- Sri Lanka won the toss and opted to bat.
Sri Lanka Innings- Sri Lanka batted first after winning the toss, started the inning very poorly, Janith Liyanage played a very brilliant unbeaten century inning of 101 runs with the help of 2 sixes and 11 boundaries in just 102 balls, Charith Asalanka scored 37 runs with the help of 5 boundaries in 46 balls, Kusal Mendis 29 runs in 51 balls, apart from this, Sadeera Samarawickrama dismissed just for 14 runs in 15 balls, Maheesh Theekshana 15 runs in 40 balls, Wanindu Hasaranga 11 runs in 8 balls, Avishka Fernando 4 runs in 6 balls, Pramod Madushan 3 runs in 6 balls, Pathum Nissanka 1 run in 8 balls, Dunith Wellalage 1 run in 18 balls, Lahiru Kumara remains unbeaten for 1 run in 1 ball. In this way, the entire team dismissed 1fter scoring 235 runs in the final ball of the inning and set a target of 236 runs in front of Bangladesh.
Bangladeshi bowlers- Taskin Ahmed took 3 wickets just for 42 runs in his spell, Mehidy Hasan Miraz 2 wickets just for 38 runs in his spell, Mustafizur Rahman 2 wickets for 39 runs in 9 overs, Rishad Hossain 1 wicket for 51 runs in 9 overs, Soumya Sarkar 1 wicket for 10 runs in 2 overs, and Shoriful Islam was wicketless for 55 runs in his spell.
Bangladesh inning- Bangladesh chasing 236 runs in the second inning achieved the target very easily for losing just 6 wickets in the second ball of the 41st over and won the match by 4 wickets. In this way, Bangladesh chased the target very easily for the loss of just 6 wickets in just 40.2 overs and won the match by 4 wickets to seal the series by 2-1.
Sri Lankan bowlers- Lahiru Kumara performed very brilliant bowling took 4 wickets for 48 runs in 8 overs, Wanindu Hasaranga 2 wickets for 64 runs in 9 overs, apart from this all are wicketless, Maheesh Theekshana was wicketless for 35 runs in 9.2 overs, Pramod Madushan wicketless for 52 runs in 7 overs, Dunith Wellalage wicketless for 30 runs in 6 overs, and Charith Asalanka also wicketless for 8 runs in 1 over.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH- Bangladeshi all-rounder Rishad Hossain was selected as the player of the match, he performed very brilliant batting as well as also in bowling, played a very brilliant unbeaten quick victory inning of 48 runs with the help of 4 sixes and 5 boundaries in just 18 balls, and took 1 wicket for 51 runs in 9 overs.
PLAYER OF THE SERIES: Bangladeshi batsman Najmul Hossain Shanto got the series, he played very brilliant batting scored a total of 163 runs in the entire series, scored 122 runs in 1st match, 30 runs in 2nd match and 1 run in 3rd and final match.
