The 2nd T20I Match of the New Zealand tour of Pakistan, 2024 was played yesterday at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi. In which Pakistan beat New Zealand by 7 wickets.
TOSS- Pakistan won the toss and opted to bowl.
New Zealand Innings- New Zealand batted first and started the inning very poorly, the entire team was dismissed just for 90 runs in the first ball of the 19th over. Tim Seifert dismissed just for 12 runs in 10 balls, Tim Robinson 4 runs in 4 balls, Dean Foxcroft 13 runs in 14 balls, Mark Chapman 19 runs in 16 balls, James Neesham 1 run in 6 balls, Cole McConchie 15 runs in 18 balls, Michael Bracewell 4 runs in 11 balls, Ish Sodhi 8 runs in 13 balls, Jacob Duffy remains unbeaten for 8 runs in 10 balls, Ben Sears dismissed for 3 runs in 5 balls, and Ben Lister dismissed for 1 run in 2 balls. In this way, continuously wickets failed one after another, and end of the result the entire team was all-out just for 90 runs in 18.1 overs and set a small target of 91 runs in front of Pakistan.

Pakistan inning- Pakistan chasing 91 runs in the second inning achieved the target very easily for losing just 3 wickets in the first ball of the 13th overs and won the match by 7 wickets. Pakistan started the inning very well, although the first wicket was dismissed very quickly, Saim Ayub and Babar Azam came to start the inning, the first wicket was dismissed just for 4 runs in the second ball of the inning, Saim Ayub was dismissed just for 4 runs in 2 balls, next batsman Mohammad Rizwan came to bat and handled the inning with Babar Azam, the second wicket was dismissed for 41 runs in 4.5 over, Babar Azam was dismissed for 14 runs in 13 balls, next batsman Usman Khan came to bat and he good strike rotate for a while with Mohammad Rizwan, the third wicket was dismissed for 56 runs in the first ball of the 8th ove, Usman Khan was dismissed just for 7 runs in 6 balls, followed by Irfan Khan came to bat handled the inning and took the match to the victory with Mohammand Rizwan, Mohammand Rizwan played a brilliant unbeaten victory inning of 45 runs with the help of 1 six and 4 boundaries in just 34 balls, and Irfan Khan also played an unbeaten inning of 18 runs in 18 balls. In this way, Pakistan chased the target very easily for the loss of just 3 wickets in 12.1 overs and won the match by 7 wickets.
New Zealand bowlers- Ish Sodhi got 1 wicket for 18 runs in 3 overs, Michael Bracewell 1 wicket for 23 runs in 2.1 overs, Ben Lister 1 wicket for 10 runs in 2 overs, Ben Sears was wicketless for 30 runs in 3 overs, and Jacob Duffy also wicketless for 7 runs in 2 overs.
PLAYER OF THE MATCH- Pakistani bowler Shaheen Afridi was selected as the player of the match, he performed very brilliant took 3 wickets just for 13 runs in 3.1 overs.
