The World Health Organization will need between $35 and $45 billion next year to vaccinate most of the world's adults against the coronavirus, said WHO chief Tedros Gebreyesus.

He noted that this amount will be needed by the organization already in addition to the necessary $19 billion to fund the international ACT Accelerator program launched by WHO to fight the pandemic.

He noted that the problems of financing global vaccination and COVID-19 pandemic programs can only be solved by the leaders of the G7 countries, who are able to allocate a significant part of the necessary amount to accelerate the vaccination campaign in the world.To vaccinate the world's adults against the coronavirus, WHO will need $45 billion next year, WHO chief Tedros Gebreyesus said.
