How We Are Affected Positively Or Negatively

stbrians

The @stbrians post in postloop and steemit.

Our whole existence on this globe actually consists of a person ot a group of people who affect our lives. We may come across them in real life or on the net. They may be people you read about.Their effect on you may be wonderfully positive or drastically negative.

Drug pushers were introduced into drug life by people. Some of these people are people you never met. You may have read about them in books. One may be a person practising many good virtues. They may be kind, honest, religious, loving and many others. They just did not fall on them like rain. A person may have been an influence to the goodness.

Negativity or positivity in us is not accidental. No! There was some sort of influence we got from somebody. This post urges you to be frank and write about them.

One great person to whom I give much glory to have influenced my life is Sir Winston Churchill. I read about him in historical books and admired him with the magnetical admiration of a lover. The books he wrote and his magnificent quotes inspired me and were embedded deep into my mind where moths and other destroyers cannot reach.

Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill was a British politician, army officer, and writer, who was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945 and again from 1951 to 1955.

Sir Winston Churchill was born on 30th November 1874 and died on 25th January 1965. By that time I was only 5 years old. He died in Kensington, London, United Kingdom at the time a young lad of five, who will be me, played in mud so many kilometers away in Western Province, Kenya. The boy never became a politician nor army officer like Churchill but he became a writer like him.

Churchill inspired with his wonderful quotes:

  • Never, never, ever give up.

It happens that sometimes we give up when we were almost achieving that goal. Success was around the corner. Giving up is cowardly too.

  • Attitude is a little thing that makes a difference.

Attitude is what will make one succeed or lose. If the attitude towards what you are about to do is good, you are sure to succeed. If it is bad is when you lose.

  • I may be drunk, Miss, but with morning I will be sober and you will still be ugly.

Drunkenness is not permanent like certain physical appearance. It is easier to be sober than to change your appearance.

  • If you are going through hell, keep going.

The hell you are passing through is not permanent. You will soon pass.

  • Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.

Never fear failure. Just keep on without losing enthusiasm.

  • My most brilliant achievement was my ability to persuade my wife to marry me.

People do not acknowledge their wives. Winston did.

  • We make a living by what we get but we make a life by what we give.

Giving is better than making.
