"Chocolate moss pudding " a fresh and healthy dessert

Hello bee hive foodie friends, how are you all, I hope you are all always healthy wherever you are. In Indonesia the weather is unpredictable, sometimes rainy and sometimes very hot. Today I want to share a pudding recipe, this menu is a dessert which of course has a sweet and fresh taste. I used several ingredients, namely gelatin powder, eggs, pandan leaves, and food flavorings. The name of the menu I made is "chocolate moss pudding"

Moss pudding is a type of jelly like dessert with a sweet, savory and fresh taste because it uses coconut milk and eggs to get grains that are like moss.
Moss itself is a type of small green plant that usually sticks to rocks or trees. The pudding that I made was inspired by small green plants usually called moss. To create the same shape I added eggs to the pudding mixture.

In Indonesia, many people create various types of puding, some use pandan, brown sugar, fruits such as strawberries, mangoes, oranges and some use additional ingredients such as butter, milk and eggs. Pandan itself is an Asian vanilla which gives a fragrant aroma so it can add flavor to dishes and is very suitable for cakes, drinks and other desserts.
This time I will share a recipe for chocolate moss pudding which is certainly very interesting for you to try.

 


15 pandan leaves
1.000 ml water
1 egg
150 ml thick coconut milk
120 grams of sugar (the sweetness level can be adjusted to suit individual tastes)
10 grams of unflavored gelatin powder
1/2 tsp salt
10 grams chocolate and strawberies gelatin powder

how To make

Chop the pandan leaves then add 200 ml of water, puree with a blender until mixed, then strain and set the water aside.
For friends who don't have pandan leaves, you can use pandan paste. If you use pandan paste, you can skip this process. You only need to cook the gelatin powder with all the other ingredients and add a few drops of pandan paste, stir and cook until thickened and cooked (skip step 1 and follow step 2 until finished sequentially)

Take the pandan juice that was made previously then mix it with the egg

Cook the remaining 800 ml of water with thick coconut milk gelatin powder, salt and granulated sugar using low heat and stir until warm and the sugar has dissolved.

Add the egg and pandan water that was made earlier and cook until the water boils.
In this process, dots like moss will form, which are called moss pudding, when the jelly forms green lumps. In this process we have to stir occasionally to create large moss, to create small moss we have to stir continuously until cooked.

To make strawberies & chocolate pudding I use instant pudding. I cooked it in 700 ml water until it boiled then set it aside until the hot steam disappeared

Pour the warm pudding into the mold. You can use a pudding mold or bowl or baking pan. Wait until the pudding is half hard and Prick the green moss pudding with a fork then pour the chocolate pudding mixture over it and leave it to harden and cool. You can store it in the refrigerator to make it more delicious.

I have a tips so that the pudding hardens quickly. You can add cold water to a bowl and place the pudding mold on top of a bowl filled with cold water.

This dish is very suitable to be made during the summer. Apart from being delicious pudding, it also has several benefits, one of which is that it is high in fiber which will certainly make our bodies healthier.
