Fit to lead 

 

Fit to lead, or so we thought,

A leader with a vision, one that we sought,

But now we see the truth, and it's hard to believe,

That the leader we trusted, would ever deceive.

 

They promised us change, and a better tomorrow,

But now we see the lies, and the pain and the sorrow,

They led us astray, and made us believe,

That they were fit to lead, and that we should never leave.

 

But now we see the cracks, in the leader we trusted,

And the lies and deceit, that they've always adjusted,

They were never fit to lead, but we couldn't see,

The betrayal that was lurking, and waiting to be.

 

They played with our hopes, and made us believe,

That they had our best interests, and that we should achieve,

But now we see the truth, and it's time to depart,

From the leader we thought, was close to our heart.

 

Fit to lead, or so they said,

But now we see the truth, and it's hard to be led,

By someone who's dishonest, and who cannot be true,

To the promises they made, to me and to you.

 

 I thought we had a leader to take us far

But now I see betrayal and pain and scars

you were not fit to lead

It means we need a new leader to worship.

 

So let's move on Let's leave the past alone

Lessons learned from invisible leaders

Broken trust will never come back

And the betrayal they displayed cannot be ignored.

 

Whether you are fit to lead or not, it's time to move on

To find a reliable new leader,

To lead us to greatness and make us proud,

And to lead with integrity and never let us down.
