Не люблю писать о том,о чём наверняка до меня уже писали.

Но не мог не поделится впечатлением от увиденного на днях сюжета о "Глобусе "Маппариум" в Бостоне (штат Массачусетс)

Век живи,век учись.Сто раз верно.

"В мире есть такое чудо...".А я только сейчас узнал.Естественно захотелось подробностей.

Кратко поведаю и вам.

Про "Путешествие к центру Земли".

Вот так выглядит "Маппариум изнутри".Трехэтажная сферическая комната-глобус, которая позволяет увидеть карту мира, стоя на специальном стеклянном мосту в ее центре.

Название Маппариум от латинских слов "маппа"(имеет ряд значений,в том числе и "карта") и "ариум "(место для..)

Создана бостонским архитектором Честером Черчиллем в середине 30-х годов для сотрудников издания Christian Science Monitor,что дать им представление о тех местах, о которых они пишут и читают в новостях. Но впоследствии это место было открыто для посещения и сразу стало очень популярным.

Глобус состоит из 608 стеклянных панелей ,окрашенных в разные цвета,так как в основе изображения политическая карта мира по состоянию на 1934 год.С тех пор,кстати,не менялась.На ней до сих пор "красный СССР" изображен.

Помимо завораживающего зрелища внутри сферы особая акустика,атмосфера таинства и чувство восторга от того,что мы живем на этой прекрасной планете Земля,
