There is no substitute for animal meat in building a healthy, strong, talented nation. In recent times, as the living standards of the people of the country have improved, their purchasing power has increased and their eating habits have also changed. Therefore, the demand for animal meat has increased. At present 40-45 percent of the total meat demand in the country comes from poultry. In order to meet the demand of animal meat, it is necessary to produce 35-40 thousand metric tons of chicken meat daily to implement the government's Vision-2021. Currently, more than half of the chicken meat comes from commercial broilers, which are totally dependent on imports. But the direct effects of global climate and climate change are visible on the poultry industry. As a result, it is important to develop breeds of high-yielding poultry suitable for the local climate to counter the negative effects of climate change. With that in mind, scientists from the Poultry Production Research Department of the Bangladesh Livestock Research Institute have recently developed a more meat-producing chicken breed through continuous selection and breeding using indigenous climate-friendly germplasm. This breed of domestic adapted chicken has been named "Multi Color Table Chicken (MCTC)".

Characteristics of chicken
These fleshy breeds of chickens are light yellow to yellowish, black or gray colored feathers at one day of age which later become multi-colors like native chickens. However, the presence of dark brown, golden, white-black, black-and-white mixed feathered chickens is noticeable. The color of their crest is dark red and single comb type. Skin color is off white and neck feathers are naturally arranged. The color of the foot tube of this new breed of chickens is light yellow or black.

The size of the room
A 50-foot-long and 20-foot-wide dochala house should be constructed facing north-south in a ventilated area for rearing 1000 MCTC chickens. Some parts adjacent to the door of the house should be used for storing food, disinfectant and other materials separately. The shed of a house 10 feet high from the floor should be kept 3-4 feet extra so that the rain water does not fall. The curtains of the house should be divided into two parts for the convenience of management; The upper bouts featured two cutaways, for easier access to the higher frets. Farm management
The amount of space, breeding temperature, lighting and air management of MCTC breed chickens are the same as other chickens. The supply of fresh air in the chicken house should be ensured. Outbreaks appear to be exacerbated by the relative humidity and polluted air in the house due to poor environmental and management conditions. Therefore, for MCTC chickens there is always adequate indoor oxygen (19.60%), minimum carbon-dioxide (3000 ppm), carbon-monoxide (10 ppm), ammonia (10 ppm) and contaminants (3.4 mg / day). Cubic meters) to be controlled. In addition, the relative humidity inside the house should be kept between 45-65%.

Food management
In general, 60-70% of the total expenditure on poultry is spent on food. Therefore, maximum measures should be taken to prevent food wastage. Spread the food on the litter for a few hours after picking up the baby. By the age of 3-4 weeks, one-third of the chick feeder should be filled and fed 3-4 times a day. Next time 3-4 meals a day can be given in large food containers. The number of dishes, the height must be consistent with the number and age of the chickens. To get best results from MCTC chickens, it is necessary to ensure food supply as per Table-1 and Table-2.
