A World Cup is something fantastic. No doubt about that. Whether in the Netherlands, Brazil, Russia or Qatar. The emotion generated by soccer is unmatched. The desire to see the best generates an irresistible attraction. The mix of cultures turns a sports competition into a unique event.

Qatar 2022, full of prejudices and quite controversial due to its organization, has seasonings of all kinds. Interesting, exotic, local culture, poorly organized. A bit of everything.

Here, a review of the best and worst of the Qatar 2022 World Cup

The best.

The stadiums: They are a true marvel. New, modern, practical. Although the accesses are sometimes crooked due to the number of access fences imposed by security, once inside it is pure enjoyment. the playing fields

Proximity: There is no doubt that the best thing about this World Cup has to do with how close one stadium is to another. Watching two games in one day is priceless. Sometimes it's 20 or 30 minutes between one court and another. At other events of this type, two or three days could go by without a venue having games. In Doha, everyone talks about football, everyone wants to go to the field, everyone enjoys the game.

The Arab Spring: The world finally opens its arms to them and they don't want to miss the opportunity. The locals and all the neighboring Arab countries took the event as a big party for themselves. They enjoy the cultural friction but also having close to Messi, Cristiano or Neymar. It is their moment and they are not going to let it pass. They are pure party.

Means of transportation: Mainly the subway, whose infrastructure is far superior to any other place in the world. Clean, fast, modern. It doesn't make a noise, it's gigantic, it has escalators everywhere. From another level.

Football: So far there have been good games, the level is meeting expectations, as well as having had big surprises. Except for Argentina, favorites like Spain, France or Brazil were up to the task. The matches are intense and he already had great moments from great players, like Mbappe, Messi or Neymar.

The bad.

The weather: It is hard to believe that someone can bear to live in Doha in the summer, during June, July and August. The heat in the morning, between 8 and 1, is unbearable. It feels like one is going to disintegrate. On the other hand, being close to winter, the days end very quickly. At 17 it is deep night.

Organization: Doha has a striking level of overemployment. At the beginning of the competition, not even the bus drivers knew how to get to the stadium. The security personnel had no idea where the entrances were. Although over the days a good part of this has been corrected, there are still details that attract attention. For example, stadium food stalls run out of stock or do not have any type of variety in their products.

Alcohol: All the fans in the world feel it. Many would like to have a beer before heading into a game or have access to relax in a bar at the end of the day. But it is complicated, limited and expensive access. On the terraces of international hotels there are usually many tourists but the great mass is immersed in the rules of Qatar. There is less ease, less relaxation, less uninhibited joy.

Stadiums not full: for different reasons, most of the World Cup matches have empty seats. Despite the fact that FIFA announces them as 'sold out' or 'sold out', there are places available. Apparently, the category 4 of the venues was sold but later it did not have full assistance, while the resale did not finish working as many speculated.
