The Myanmar military is confused the day many members of the Myanmar Air Force corps are reported to have fled the unit (desertion) and joined the military group
According to one of the defected Air Force, Aung Zay Ya, his former unit had published the names of deserted corps members.
"They printed the names and photos of all the members who had defected and put them on display at the headquarters," said Aung.
Aung, who was last held the rank of sergeant and had served in the Yangon Regional Command, is currently choosing to go into hiding. He reasoned that he had defected because he did not agree with the attitude of the military which was involved in politics and oppressed its citizens without shame.
