Wikileaks (2010) brought to light a series of disturbing insinuations and startling truths. Some were earth-shattering, others simply confirmations of our darkest suspicions about the way the world works. Wikileaks' revelations included simple gossip about world leaders. There is a lot of hide and seek game going on among the inhabitants of the world. Wikileaks x-rayed the true face of global diplomacy-a game of deceit under the cover of darkness. The world system love darkness and thrives in secrecy. But God's kingdom forbids such a life style. When Jesus told his disciples "You are the light of the world," He was challenging them to live transparently and openly. There is nothing opaque about living and walking in light. Light exposes that which is hidden in darkness.
Are you having fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness? Are you walking as a child of light? Do you still derive pleasure in what sinners do?
Are there things you do secretly that you do not openly indulge in? Then you are a hypocrite. As a Christian do your colleagues still find it easy to misbehave with the opposite sex right in your eyes? May your light shine in such a way that sinners will be ashamed to act sinfully around you. Jesus as the light reproves the hypocrisy of the Scribes and Pharisees. That is the reason they persecuted him even unto death.
Therefore He says: "Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light." Walk in wisdom. Walk cautiously, with watchfulness every way, with attention to guard against surprise or danger, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
